To be used for: Marking the required text, patterns, barcodes and other graphics on plastics, electronics, metals, ceramics, tobacco and other materials.

Laser marking technology has led domestic companies to enter the laser processing industry. Especially after fiber lasers were widely used in laser equipment, the laser marking industry also reached its "peak" in the market. However, over the years of laser marking application, the common laser marking patterns we have seen are black, white and gray.

As far as the current laser marking technology is concerned, only certain types of fiber lasers can be used for color marking on stainless steel.

To mark this visual effect, in addition to inkjet and colored paints, you can also use the MOPA pulsed fiber laser technology, whose pulse width and frequency can be independently adjusted.

When laser marking is applied to stainless steel materials, the color of the surface layer of the material can be changed by adjusting the laser beam, thereby achieving different decorative effects.

The advantage is that the pulse width and frequency can be independently adjusted, and adjusting one parameter will not affect the other laser parameters. This is not possible in Q-switched lasers. Moreover, this feature brings unlimited possibilities for the stainless steel color marking. In actual marking operations, factors such as pulse width, frequency, power, speed, filling method, filling interval, and delay parameters all affect the color effect.

However, due to the fact that this technology is not yet very mature, it is subject to many restrictions, and the price is also unacceptable for most manufacturers. Because a color laser marking machine can be purchased at a lower cost than several laser marking machines.

New Laser Marking Technology

Recently, certain laminated material groups have been developed in Germany. The laminated material group consists of external laminated materials and internal laminated materials. The external laminated materials include a transparent polymer carrier, which contains infrared rays on one side of the carrier. This laminated material can be used for almost all common marking materials. This technological advantage is different from the ordinary laser paper available on the market.

In Japan, a composition suitable for laser color marking has also been developed, along with its preparation method. The composition comprises: 100 parts by weight of a polymer; and a content of laser marking powder of 0.05622 parts by weight; and a content of thermosensitive substance of 0.16210 parts by weight. The preparation method includes: melting and blending the components such as the polymer, laser marking powder, and thermosensitive substance according to the composition ratio. This invention adds a thermosensitive substance to cause the thermosensitive substance to undergo thermal decomposition, oxidation and other reactions at a certain temperature, thereby utilizing the heat generated during the laser marking process. These reactions will damage the original material structure or produce new substances. At the same time, new colors will be produced. This color change is one-way and irreversible. The original color cannot be restored after cooling, thus enabling the formation of stable and permanent marks on the product.
